Clementine and Edward Steal a Painting

Eau de Parfum 50mL I $150

Immortelle, Geranium, Olibanum

It is 1:37 AM at the Grand Hall. Clementine and Edward stand before a still life. The tableau, once hung marvelously on the wall, is now being raced through the marbled gallery rooms, whiffed in a fragrance of divine mischief.
“Take my hand, and, plunge!”

The idea was to create a composition whose deep base accords evoke the whirlwind of fragrances gathered in a gallery room, the mingled perfumes of passing guests. The top notes bring the moment two friends, hand in hand, sprint through the great big museum. And that it became.

A marvelous gourmand-fougère, Clementine & Edward reveals a subtle sweetness, with restrained notes of immortelle, oud, black pepper, liquor, and jasmine.

A fragrance of art and friendship, the two marvelous pleasures of life.

"A very special gourmande-fougère, surely you'll be pleased."

"C&E is composed to be atmospheric and dreamy, as requested by Ms. Millais to hold the feeling of sprinting through a museum with your friend(s). It is complex, diffused, warm and slightly sweet."

Super sexy and moving. It smells rich and complex, like the ones you try at a boutique in france and think about in your hotelroom. Love it!

I've never smelt anything like this. It's deep and delicate, but sensual enough to be for both men & women. May be my new signature scent.

A beautiful blend of old and new. Feels like a walk through the Denon Wing of the Louvre among the Italian Renaissance paintings, or drinking an old fashioned in a speakeasy jazz club wearing a sexy golden dress. Rich and sensual. A lovely combination of classic 'Edwardian' musk with a 'Clementine' subtle sweetness to modernize it.

Very classic and sophisticated scent with a vibrant twist. Reminds me of Chanel No.5, but with notes of citrus. It's giving old money outfit at a brunch with your girls kinda vibes.

At first spray, I was a little concerned I'd made a mistake ordering it. It seemed very "loud" in a 1980s sort of way. After it settled on my skin, it was lovely.

Growing up in the 1980s, musk has always been a comfort scent to me so the dry down was a dream. It's delicious and comforting without being cloying. It smells like adventure with your best friend, starting with the excitement of the beginnning of an adventure and ending with a warm hug.

It doesn't linger long after you've left, it just leaves a slight reminder you were there. Scent projection was within a couple feet of my body. People across the room won't smell it but people you have close to you will.
I am looking forward to receiving the full bottle. It has signature scent potential.

This perfume changed the way I view fragrance. I've never thought myself to enjoy heady or musky scents, but I cannot get enough of this perfume. It smells like the old world, like the scenes from old paintings in an art museum come to life. Although an intimate scent, I think it works for day or night.

I'm absolutely in love with the little vial I received. This scent really reminds me of Shalimar, perhaps because of its luxurious, vintage French feel, though it's different and modern in its own way. As a pianist, I've turned it into a ritual whenever I play concerts- I spray it and it immediately brings me to a state of confidence, femininity, and creativity. I feel like my most beautiful self with it on! :)

I'm always intrigued by fragrances that feel as if they have weight and texture. This is the heavy air of a semi-crowded museum full of rich people and tourists whose expensive scents are carried on the wind they create as they walk by. This opens with a warmed, almost sunny citrus before warming up further into something more honeyed and smooth, but still a bit green at the edges. It has a density and a presence, as if there is a body inhabiting the space. I've heard fragrances be described as "perfumey" before, but this takes that idea and makes it feel lived in. The notes sound as if they would be incredibly loud on paper, but here they are turned down to a muted whisper. Somehow the scent still manages to create a decent bubble around me when I have it on. Perfume, but as you experience it on the warm skin of another. I've never experienced a scent that takes me outside of myself in such a way. Pairs well with Gods Wait to Delight in You!

Genuinely LOVE. The dry down is INCREDIBLE. My brother, my boyfriend, myself and now all my friends (who I got to get a sample) all love it and wear it. Together we are a decadent cloud and now we are planning to going to our local art museum.

I got mine literally 10 minutes ago and never blind buy, but so glad I did this time- absolutely obsessed, I cannot wait for the full size to come in June. 🍊🧡🖼️
