Our debut collection New York Nostalgia is an ode to childhood, the feelings of growing up in a city. What is something that remind you of childhood and/or your favorite childhood memory that helped shape who you are today?
I remember when I was about five years old I would be playing in my apartment building's courtyard, and during the springtime butterflies would come and land on my face and perch there for hours. I think it's definitely what made me consciously appreciate nature and life beyond my own even at a young age.
One of the special aspects of city living is coming to find your spots. Do you have a place in a city that either hold a special meaning to you and/or you frequent?
Father Demo Square in the Fall time. It's not cold enough for the fountain to be turned off yet but the leaves have just turned auburn and yellow so it's the perfect time to go and people watch.
must haves?
I can't leave the house without my lipliner. I switch between the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow talk Liner or the Sephora Collection liner in Creme de la Creme. In my bathroom, I keep a Carthusia Home Diffuser in Frutto di Bacco— I swear it smells like wine and gummy bears! I picked it up in their boutique in Capri, Italy and it's been a home staple ever since.
favorite way to wear maison millais?
I like to keep it classy and spritz on the pulse points. Maybe even once in the air and a quick walk through. And I'll always reapply before going to dinner.
